Should children be able to vote?
This topic came about because of the upcoming election and we think if children were able to vote, the outcome of the election would be very different. Kyle and Julian went and asked a group of students and teachers about this. Here is what they said:
Lili: No, they would not make good choices
Elonzo: No they’re not mature enough now
Fernando: No they wouldn’t have good judgement
Stella: No, because kids would not make good choices. Maybe 15 and up..
Daphne : No maybe 15 and up
Isabella: Yes, everybody should have a chance to vote for who they want
Luke: No they what to vote what there parents are voting for
Timmy: Yes I don't know why
Colin: Yes kids should be able to express their opinions
Mia: No because kids don't know what their doing
Kayleigh: No younger kids don't know what their voting about
Aiden: No they make jokes and fool around
Leo: No, well because they could get bribed
Andrew L.: No
Alek: Yes, so people can see what kids think
Lucas: I don't know
Sophie: I don’t know
Tyler: Yes, but there has to be a maturity test
Mackenzie: No, not for the actual election but maybe just for fun within the school
Seth: No, kids don't know what they are doing
Julian:Yes, kids should be able to voice their opinions
Kyle: No, kids are not mature enough
Mrs. Arnold: No give them something to look forward to
Mrs. Astion: No, but maybe kids would show more interest in voting than some adults.
Mrs. Ramsay: No, I don't know if they would be involved.
